Assists the dentist during a variety of examinations and treatment procedures instrument transfer, dental procedure isolation techniques, and preparation of dental materials. Prepares treatment rooms, instruments, and cassettes for procedures. Records medical and dental history and vital signs of patients. Records visit information in the electronic patient record (QSI).

Provide comprehensive public health oriented dental services to patients to include diagnostic, consultation/referral, and emergency preventive care. Provide in service training to staff. Participate in specialty clinics collaboratively with other members in planning the health needs and complaints of clients and patients. Prepare all reporting and evaluation requirements

Maintain overall dental care responsibility for the management of dental services to each patient Perform all dental assessments, radiographic exams, and dental treatment, to include emergency treatment such as oral surgery, restorative dentistry and periodontal therapy within the scope of general dentistry Formulate a working diagnosis, develop and implement a treatment

Current Certification from an accredited Hygiene Program Dental radiology certification and anesthesia certification are required Current CPR Certification Provide dental prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, application of fluoride and/or other services on patients. Complete periodontal charting and, obtain other diagnostic records on patients. Perform facial and oral tissue

Coordinate dental services and assist Dentist with patient care, instruments, supplies, documentation and support the function of the dental department Assist in documentation and maintenance of all patient dental records Assist in triaging and scheduling of all dental sick call requests Prepare clinic with appropriate instruments and materials for scheduled visits Assist
