Job Summary

The Business Systems Analyst - JDE acts as a liaison between our IT department, Managed Services Providers, and our business units. This position will be responsible for understanding the business needs and objectives of our organization, oversee the implementation, maintenance, and support of JD Edwards application, and work with our hosting provider, while ensuring alignment with Graniterock's Family Vision, Core Purpose, Core Values, Strategic priorities, and business objectives.

Essential Job Accountabilities

  1. Comply, understand, and promote corporate and division safety initiatives to ensure "Safety Before All Else."

2. Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders and users of JD Edwards applications across the company.

3. Analyze and document the business requirements and processes of our construction projects and propose IT solutions using JD Edwards EnterpriseOne modules and functionalities.

4. Coordinate and oversee the development, testing, deployment, and integration of JD Edwards applications with other systems and platforms.

5. Provide training, guidance, and troubleshooting to end-users and IT team members on JD Edwards applications and best practices.

6. Monitor and evaluate the performance, availability, and security of JD Edwards applications and systems and recommend improvements and enhancements.

7. Manage projects and teamwork efforts, using Scrum and Agile Methodologies, and ensure compliance with quality standards and policies.

8. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all JD Edwards applications and processes, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and accessibility for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

9. Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in JD Edwards software and the construction industry and identify opportunities for innovation and growth.

10. Manage hosting providers and managed services to leverage their IT solutions and optimize the JD Edwards environment, such as cloud hosting, application management, infrastructure management, security, backup, disaster recovery, etc.

Education and Work Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field

* Proven experience as a JD Edwards Business Analyst, Business Relationship Manager, JD Edwards Consultant, JD Edwards Project Manager, or similar role.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* In-depth knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software, especially the modules related to construction, such as Job Cost, Contract Billing, Project Management, etc.

* Experience in managing the full lifecycle of JD Edwards projects, from planning and design to implementation and support.

* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

* Ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

* Industry experience in the Construction, Mining, Construction Materials environment highly desired

* Experience in working with hosting providers and managed services for JD Edwards,

* Ability to oversee the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware systems, solutions, or products.

* Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development.

* Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities and knowledge of troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques.

* Working technical knowledge of one or more programming languages, data integration techniques and technologies, reporting, and data visualization.

* Extensive experience with MS SQL, including advanced queries. Snowflake experience a plus.

* Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks to meet deadlines.

* Technical writing, including use cases, test scripts and user documentation.

* Working knowledge of PC's, networking and systems integration.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.

* Strong customer service orientation.

Additional Requirements

* Occasional after hours or weekend work to accommodate maintenance windows for critical systems.

* Occasional driving throughout the Bay Area to support branch locations.

* Must have valid CA Driver's License and clean driving record.
