In 2019 the facility was designated as Meggitt's Machining Center of Excellence with state-of-the-art multi-axis milling, turning, and additive layer manufacturing equipment.
  • Parker Meggitt Fluid Systems Division - North Hollywood, California manufacturing features an upgraded 110k square foot, world-class manufacturing and testing facility. The facility has been designated as a Machining Center of Excellence within the Parker Meggitt group with recent additions of state-of-the-art multi-axis milling, turning, and additive layer manufacturing equipment. We also have testing capabilities for fluid and pneumatic valves that can duplicate the high temperatures, pressures, and flow rates of modern aircraft systems. With our in-house design and development capabilities and with our growing product portfolio we are in a leadership position for the next generation of high-performance aircraft engines and airframes.
  • Parker Meggitt Fluid Systems Division - North Hollywood, California facility designs and manufactures valves and controls that regulate the flow of air and fluids under pressure and high temperatures. Its pneumatic and fluid control lines include fuel, mixing, and starter valves, air-oil separators, and solenoid valves, used in commercial and military aircraft and aero engines. Industrial offerings provide fuel and bleed-air control valves and ground fueling products for power generation and mechanical drives.

Job Designation

  • The Principle Quality Engineer Ensures organization preparedness for regulatory and customer audits.
  • Develops and manages quality solutions that improve business results by proactively improving and maintaining the Business Quality Management System its processes and key performance indicator (KPI) results.

Job Core Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance to FAA Part 145 and FAA Part 21 requirements and Business Quality Management System.
  • Manage internal Audit Program
    • Repair Station Internal Audits FAA/EASA/CAAC
    • Support Customer/FAA on-site Audits and desk top audits

FAA Part 145

  • Maintain Repair Station Quality Manuals and Training Program
  • Maintain Repair Station Shelf life programs.
  • Maintain Repair Stations FAA Capabilities List
  • Oversee Repair Station Anti-Drug and Alcohol program.
  • Maintain Customer Technical documents portals.
  • Ability to obtain FAA Repairman eligibility to sign FAA 8130-3 Return to Service forms.

FAA Part 21

  • Obtain FAA Accountable Manager status.
  • Responsible for being POC for both MIDO and FSDO offices.
  • Manage and submit PMA applications to the FAA.
  • Ability to obtain FAA DMIR certification.
  • Maintain FAA/PMA database in SAP.
  • Manage and approval DSA (Direct Ship Authorization).
  • Ability to perform FAA conformities and issue FAA Form 8130-9s.
  • Schedule FAA DAR covered under DSA for Repair Station items sold as spares.

Other responsibilities as assigned:

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and additional hours as necessary

Job Specifications

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree is required
  • Years Experience: 5+
  • SAP familiarity and experience preferred.
  • Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
    • SME regarding FAA Part 21 &145
    • Effective problem solver and knowledge RCCA, 8D, and Change Management
    • Must have excellent analysis skills (hypothesis testing, control charts, trend analysis)
    • Self-directed/Self-Starter
    • Auditing experience
    • Good written communication and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to make oral presentations
    • Ability to gather data, to compile information, and prepare reports
    • Ability to research and analyze data effectively

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $90K-150K
