We are currently seeking a Cryptography Research Scientist with an emphasis on FHE to join the Emerging Technology Team based in Santa Clara, CA . This is a hybrid position.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Cryptography Researcher specializing in Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) to join our cutting-edge Future Security Team, a research and development team working in the field of Post-quantum Cryptography (PQC) and FHE. This role is ideal for someone passionate about privacy-enhancing technologies and eager to make significant contributions in the field of cryptography.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct advanced research in the field of Fully Homomorphic Encryption.
  • Develop and optimize FHE algorithms for enhanced security and efficiency.
  • Implement FHE algorithms for specialized use cases, tailoring solutions to meet specific needs.
  • Lead the development and execution of Proof of Concepts (PoCs) related to FHE applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within LG to integrate FHE solutions into broader systems.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in cryptography and privacy-enhancing technologies by participating/following related standards, conferences and workshops.

Experience We'd Like You to Have:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. Master's degree + 6 years experience or PhD + 3 years of experience.
  • Proven expertise in Fully Homomorphic Encryption and privacy-enhancing technologies.
  • Strong mathematical foundation, particularly in areas relevant to FHE algorithms.
  • Excellent coding and programming skills, with experience in languages relevant to cryptographic implementation (e.g., C++, Python, or similar).
  • Ability to conceptualize, develop, and optimize complex cryptographic algorithms.
  • Experience in developing and managing Proof of Concepts for new technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
