THE ROLE:

AMD is seeking a capable and motivated IC CAD engineer who has experience in spice simulation. The candidate will be responsible for setting up the vendor tools, qualifying the tool accuracy and support users across the company.

THE PERSON:

Successful candidate will have experience in spice simulation, will work with cross-functional teams to setup the tool and write script around the tool to improve usability, and is capable of debugging issue and provide solution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Setup and support spice simulators
• Write custom script around the vendor tools
• Debug spice simulation problem
• Verify vendor tool accuracy
• Create user documentation and provide training

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Good understanding and hands-on experience in all Synopsys spice simulators (Hspice, Primesim, Finesim).
• Good programming skills in Python, Perl and Tcl scripting
• Proficient in using and setting up circuit testbench in Spectre ADE environment

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• BSEE or MSEE or equivalent.
