Viking Enterprise Solutions provides advanced data center products including solid-state memory and diskbased storage server appliances, JBOD storage systems and related products for a variety of data center and storage applications. Viking Enterprise Solutions products are tailored for integration into OEM, System Integrator and data center products.

We are searching for a talented and experienced Channel Sales Manager in US Eastern region to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing a network of channel partners to drive sales of our innovative data storage solutions.

JOB PURPOSE:

This role requires an experienced candidate who is self-motivated, a problem-solver, quick learner, is eager to grow and execute, collaborates well with various cross-functional teams and can build strong rapport within the channel partners, distributors as well as end-users. You will have a significant impact on the division's revenue through channel partnership strategy and have the opportunity to benefit through our Sales Compensation Plan.

NATURE OF DUTIES:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for VES with channel partners
  • Structure and manage relationships with new and existing systems integrators, VARs/Resellers and strategic partners
  • Develop and implement strategic channel programs to identify, recruit, enable, account mapping, awareness / demand generation and onboard new channel partners.
  • Gain and maintain mind share of sales representatives at our channel partners so that VES is viewed as a preferred set of products for their customers and prospects
  • Assist channel partner representatives with the positioning and sale of VES products, through presentations, demonstrations and creation of end-user value proposition
  • Set and develop short-term and long-term sales strategies
  • Maintain prospect and customer records to help in preparing sales pipeline, forecasts, market analysis and assessing competitor's activity to ensure revenue targets are met
  • Submit weekly reports pertaining to sales activity and potential sale opportunities
  • Give feedback to business development managers and product management regarding competitor pricing, markets trends and technology innovations in the field
  • Participate and assist with trade shows, conventions, customer functions and industry-wide affairs as needed
  • Drive sales growth through partner-led initiatives and joint marketing campaigns

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of five years' experience with sales success in IT storage solutions, networks, client/server & Cloud storage is key (knowledge of Rich-Media and Video surveillance market is plus)
  • Proven track record of exceeding quotas and achieving individual targets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present effectively, persuade, and build strong relationships
  • Arrange and conduct partner sales and technical training to educate, motivate, and enable sales
  • Quick leaner with strong written, project management and technical aptitude skills
  • Ability to collaborate with corporate resources on various project oriented activities
  • Understanding of market trends, competitor analysis, and ability to develop and implement winning sales strategies
  • Ability to identify and solve problems quickly and effectively, both for individual team members and overall sales challenges
  • Development of strong new business pipeline opportunities through direct contacts within the partner's account sales ecosystem
  • Strong negotiation skills to close deals and achieve optimal outcomes for the company

Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000
