Senior Software Engineer- ML/AI Service
NOTE: This is an office-based role and the selected candidate will work from the Santa Clara Office.
We're looking for a senior software engineer for the development of the machine learning (ML) service for Couchbase Database.
The role includes the development of infrastructure in supporting a new ML Service within Couchbase's DaaS (Database as a Service) offering. In this role, you will be working with a team of passionate and talented engineers in developing software to enable ML lifecycle within Couchbase DaaS as well as integration with industry-leading 3rd party ML platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and excellent communication and leadership skills
Responsibilities:
- Develop software enabling ML lifecycle within Couchbase DaaS
- Ensure timely delivery of projects that meet business objectives, quality, and supportability goals.
- Ensure production systems meet availability and performance targets and SLAs.
- Work cross-functionally across product management, QA, Performance and other teams to deliver industry leading solution to customer
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- 5-7 years of development experience on enterprise system software.
- Proficient in Golang (preferred), Java or C++.
- Python experience is a plus.
- Experience with ML frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, Scikit Learn, PyTorch).
- Experience with ML Service (e.g. Google Vertex AI, AWS Sagemaker, MSFT Azure ML).
- Experience with ML lifecycle (train, deploy, run).
- Experience with ONNX is a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Experience with performance optimization is a plus.
- Experience as a technical or project lead is a plus.
