Job Title:Quality Technician

Job Purpose:

The Quality Technician evaluates processes for conformance to specified requirements, provides audit reports to management, and provides support to Quality Engineering and Operations to implement process improvements to ensure products and services are produced to exceed customer requirements and expectations

Nature of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Internal process auditing experience
  • Drive improvement and corrective action in Operations by completing product, process, systems and compliance audits.
  • Liaise with core team members to investigate and determine root causes of customer complaints and internal quality issues.
  • Attend yield improvement meetings and complete any actions assigned.
  • Participate in PFMEA and Control Plan development
  • Improve and develop ESD and quality awareness throughout manufacturing operations.
  • Improve product handling in manufacturing operations and tests.
  • Data analysis and report writing
  • Any other duties as determined by the Quality Mgmt or Quality Engineer

Education and Experience:

  • Associates Degree / 2 year Technical Degree
  • Quality experience in a Service environment is preferred.
  • Should be familiar with the requirements of ISO-9001 and TL-9000 Quality Management Systems
  • 1-2 years experience examining (auditing) processes and procedures and various elements in order to ensure their effectiveness.
  • A strong background Failure analysis and board repair environment is preferred.
  • Have a fundamental understanding of a quality system and its development, documentation, and implementation with respect to domestic and international standards or requirements.
  • Have a thorough understanding of problem-solving and quality improvement tools and techniques.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills. Must be fluent in both spoken and written English language.
  • The ability to identify major, minor findings, observations, and report information.
  • Must be detail focused and assertive.
  • Possess the ability to work under pressure, multi-talk and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines.
  • Career oriented, energetic and able to work on their own initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Able to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Word, Google Suites
