THE ROLE:

In this high-profile and expansive role, you will be the overall technical lead for next generation dGPU graphics programs and collaborate with all of engineering and businesses required to meet overall design and verification goals to achieve first pass silicon success.

THE PERSON:

As a member of the Radeon Technologies Group, you will collaborate with AMD's top talents to bring cutting-edge GFX IP designs to life.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with Architect and Design Teams to shape micro-architecture of graphics blocks
  • Collaborate with Verification teams at different levels to ensure all test plans meet requirements for graphic features from end to end
  • Plan, execute and track new features at GFX IP and SoC level
  • Coordinate synthesis and timing closure with RTL Design, Physical Design, and SoC teams
  • Interface with block Design and Architect teams to understand design trade-offs dealing with power, performance, and area and drive towards goals
  • Coordinate design implementation AMD verification activities at GFX IP level including feature bring-up

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 10 + years of experience on ASIC Logic Design, Physical Design and/or Design Verification
  • Prior experience with graphics or related high performance microprocessor design is required
  • Strong understanding of verification techniques, including assertion and metric-driven verification
  • Extensive experience with System Verilog, C/C++, and Scripting Languages such as Perl and Python
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills is required
  • Detail-oriented and with strong passion for problem solving and customer service
  • Proven track record in technical leadership, which includes planning, execution, tracking, verification closure, and delivery to programs
  • Experience with both industry standard and custom-made tools

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • BS, Masters or PhD preferred
  • Electrical Engineer, Computer Engineering, Computer Science preferred
