The Opportunity

Adobe seeks its next Director of Corporate Communications. The corporate communications team drives and protects Adobe's corporate reputation globally, helping our stakeholders better understand our technology and impact. This fast-paced, highly visible team is responsible for external communications centered around business and financial performance, ethical innovation and public policy, purpose and diversity & inclusion. We are a thoughtful and forward-thinking team of communicators who are passionate about storytelling.

This highly visible leadership role will develop integrated communications strategies and program plans, including positioning, messaging, public relations, thought leadership and more. The ideal candidate will have a history of impactful corporate communications experience and thrive in a dynamic environment that requires a strong point-of-view and savvy for high-stakes issues.

What you'll Do

  • PR Strategy: Be responsible for the vision, development and execution of communication programs in partnership with cross-functional teams across global communications and the business. This includes strategies for moments such as earnings, M&As, and crisis, among others. Work with a wider team to drive an always-on communications program and a proactive storytelling program.

  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as a trusted advisor to Adobe's leadership team. Build and partner with external press and influencers to drive Adobe's agenda. Coordinate with various internal (social, employee communications) and global teams to further amplify content and/or news. Ability to influence and inspire change across the company in a significant way.

  • Thought Leadership: Drive consistency in all corporate messaging; advance Adobe's corporate narrative that educates key partners (customers, investors, employees, and policymakers) on Adobe's point of view, products and policies across all channels, including press, digital, events and analyst relations.

  • Innovative Storytelling: Accelerate Adobe's media momentum through innovative storytelling efforts across traditional and new channels. Adopt multimedia and cross-channel strategies to breakthrough among key audiences.

  • Practices & Processes: Build best-of-class communications practices and processes that will drive efficiencies in how Adobe's communications team operates.

What you need to succeed

  • Executive presence and shown ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams, ideally in a ground-breaking technology space

  • Ability to move between strategy and execution easily

  • Experience and passion for rapid response and crisis communications, including shaping complicated stories

  • Dedication to the news cycle and fast-paced communications cycle

  • Expertise in both traditional and emerging media and channels

  • Innovative thinking, not afraid to take risks and push Adobe in new directions

  • Exceptional communication capabilities, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate nuanced issues, strategies, and briefs clearly

  • Inherent curiosity, with an appetite for an exciting opportunity on a fun, collaborative team

  • 12-15 years of relevant work experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $133,900 -- $301,100 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
