• Parker Meggitt Fluid Systems Division - North Hollywood, California manufacturing features an upgraded 110k square foot, world-class manufacturing and testing facility. The facility has been designated as a Machining Center of Excellence within the Parker Meggitt group with recent additions of state-of-the-art multi-axis milling, turning, and additive layer manufacturing equipment. We also have testing capabilities for fluid and pneumatic valves that can duplicate the high temperatures, pressures, and flow rates of modern aircraft systems. Its pneumatic and fluid control lines include fuel, mixing, and starter valves, air-oil separators, and solenoid valves, used in commercial and military aircraft and aero engines. Industrial offerings provide fuel and bleed-air control valves and ground fueling products for power generation and mechanical drives.

JOB DESIGNATION: Continuous Improvement Manager provides expertise in implementing the competent in LEAN manufacturing, Six Sigma, and statistical process control. The Continuous Improvement plans, initiatives, analyzes and measures the effectiveness of existing business processes and develops sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable business process improvements.

JOB CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyzes, measures and reports the effectiveness of existing manufacturing processes and develops sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable business process improvements.
• Effectively applies improvement initiatives and all related activities in the facility.
• Assists in training and skills enhancement for all employees with respect to continuous improvement tools and techniques.
• Participates in providing technical expertise and implements lean principles, techniques and methods
• Provides expertise when recommending solutions to problems and implementation of corrective actions
• Participates in the evaluation of new technologies and determines how they can support engineering business processes
• Assists in maintaining a safe production environment.

• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's Degree required
Years Experience: min 7 years of relevant experience
Certification:

• Lean Six Sigma Certification
• SSGI Lean Practitioner or IASSC Lean Practitioner certification is nice to have.

Skills:

• Lean 6-Sigma Practitioner experience
• Ability to provide special knowledge and expertise while implementing continuous improvement
• Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand tools
• Competent in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and statistical process control
• Proven ability to meet multiple deadlines, using available resources.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows Software applications, Excel, and Word
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

WORK AUTHORIZATION: This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements; therefore, a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. * 120.15 is required. U.S. Citizenship/Permanent Resident is required for most positions.

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $105K - $183K plus 10% STIP
