We are currently seeking a contract Product & Technical Partnerships Associate to join the Emerging Technology Team based in Santa Clara, CA . This is a hybrid position.

Job Description:

  • You will partner with the leaders of the Emerging Technology Department, along with engineers, and applied research teams to define and prioritize a compelling portfolio of innovative initiatives with a focus on creating the foundation for product experiences.
  • You will participate in LGE's internal efforts in identifying, evaluating and strategically promoting new technologies that align and advance LGE business units' strategic direction.
  • The Associate will also identify and contribute to strategic partnerships and collaborations. These collaborations can take the form of co-working, co-development, or licensing and will require ongoing comprehensive knowledge of LGE's future plans and strategies.
  • Be a part of multi-team collaboration between LGE CTO R&D and BU teams with a focus on external partners in North America.

Technology and Partnerships:

  • Engage with leadership across business units to help define the HW/SW platform roadmap and create recommendations for executive approval.
  • Adjust, influence and communicate the requirements and expectations to translate aspirational prototype experiences into feasibly deliverable ones.
  • Work with the other functional and product leaders in the category business team to understand and help shape the multi-year category strategy and product pipeline
  • Partner with Emerging Technology team members in the creation of new research proposals to ensure customer value proposition and validate high level technical feasibility.
  • Introduce and shepherd important technologies within LG Electronics' CTO organization and LGE Business Units.
  • Identify, present and manage new partnership opportunities to accelerate Emerging Technologies roadmap.
  • Research new disruptive technologies in North America in alignment to LG Electronics' strategic directions

Required Education and Experience:

  • MBA degree with a minimum of 1-year prior working experience in areas including R&D, product strategy, technical partnerships and strategy with proven experience managing external partnerships.
  • Strong interests in the latest technologies such as AI (e.g. Gen AI, On-device AI, etc), 3D Asset creation & management, Security (Automotive, Next-generation), System on Chip, Future Emerging Technologies and so on
  • Deep passion and insight for delivering value through innovation and technical excellence
  • Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude and demonstrable strategic thinking abilities
  • Ability to work in environments where requirements are loose and fuzzy while helping identify actionable work that gets answers necessary to move concepts towards productization
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and solid communication with all levels of management
  • Understanding of market research and data analysis
  • Proven track record influencing decision making
  • Knowledge of business operations and procedures
