Job Description

West Elm is looking for a Associate Project Manager, Digital Creative. You will be responsible for planning and tracking, production, and resource oversight for projects within the Digital Creative department. This role serves as a central point between the Creative team and other departments within the organization to ensure that projects are completed successfully. The ideal candidate for this role is a strong communicator and problem solver with an ability to motivate and rally project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects from kick-off to completion, including the creation of project schedules, tracking and ensuring all deliverables are met and regularly communicating status with all team members.
  • Source and manage relationships with production vendors.
  • Proactively identify and discuss solutions for potential blockers or production risks.
  • Ability to organize and understand project requirements that may at times be ambiguous.
  • Facilitate meetings with collaborators and circulate actionable notes.
  • Manage project billing, as well as budget creation and reconciliation when needed.
  • Support in the establishment and rollout of new processes and procedures that will contribute better team communication and project documentation.
  • Confidence in managing projects in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Ability to create strong relationships and build trust with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop relationships with and ensures the appropriate participation of key client stakeholders and client executives.
  • Provide purpose, direction and motivation to team.
  • Ensure a positive, collaborative work environment for the team. Encourage the development of team mentality and a creative, innovative and masterful work culture.
  • Leverage best practices and applies lessons learned from previous projects. Actively shares knowledge and learning from project experiences.
  • Attends briefings and design presentations with stakeholders, performing as an information source.
  • Quarterbacks the budget and advises the teams if the estimate requires adjustments.
  • Creates dockets in the appropriate system and completes write ups prior to entering jobs into the studio.
  • Develops and manages timelines on all projects, tracking/reporting on time delivery or alterations of the timeline to the key stakeholders.
  • Manages workflows while following up on all jobs that are out for approval to process approvals in a timely fashion.
  • Manages and leads design handover meetings with On-sites and/or Marketing, and the Studio Teams.
  • Maintains a print project status report. Attends/holds weekly status meetings with print teams working on catalog, store collateral and signage. Production Art and Prepress to apprise of upcoming projects.
  • Acts as central liaison point between Digital, Marketing, and the Studio Teams in all matters during project execution.

Criteria:

  • 1 to 3 years of project management, and or creative operations experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience successfully managing multiple projects in tandem.
  • Advanced excel, power point, and Microsoft suite skills.
  • Workday experience preferred.
  • This role requires being onsite in the New York office

The expected starting pay range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
