Job Description:

Broadcom's Timing Sign-Off group in Central Engineering is looking for an energetic and self-driven professional to join our team. Our group's mission is to provide an advanced timing sign-off flow to Broadcom's chip teams with the goal to achieve best in class solutions with high yield and fully optimized margins. The candidate will participate in advancing flows and processes used for design analysis, data extraction, statistical modeling, and automation. They will take part in the definition and development of new features, as well as further enhancements, automation, and support for the existing flows and functions. The candidate must have experience with industry standard digital signoff tools, transistor level simulations (SPICE), flow development, and scripting of large data analysis. The candidate will be working closely with other experts across the company in a fast paced project oriented agile environment. Development will include writing scripts in Python, Perl, TCL, and Unix shell.

The candidate must have the ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly, multi-task efficiently and effectively, proactively deliver practical and quality solutions on-time, work well with external and internal partners, and possess advanced coding skills. The candidate will be expected to work across multiple facets of projects and juggle multiple responsibilities at the same time.


Responsibilities:

The candidate will design, implement, and deploy solutions mainly based on Python, Perl, TCL, and Unix shell. Experience in EDA flow development, statistical data analysis, data science, circuit simulation, and coding in the Unix environment is required. Experience in efficient compute resource utilization, and large scale characterization is a bonus.

Qualifications:

The minimum engineering experience required is typically a BS degree in EE/CS with 8+ years of industry experience, or an MS degree or Ph.D. degree in EE/CS with 6+ years of industry experience.


Strong hands-on experience developing scripts in Python, Perl, TCL, Unix shell and flow automation.

Strong hands-on software development skills for writing scalable and maintainable code.

Strong hands-on experience with statistical data analysis, data science, visualization and modeling.

Strong analytical skills and extremely detail oriented, organized and methodical.

Hands-on experience with industry standard EDA tools for physical implementation and signoff.

Strong communication skills. Clear and concise.

Strong multitasking skills.

Optimistic yet pragmatic attitude.

Demonstrable skills for quick ramp-up.

Ability to stay calm under extreme pressure.

Team player.

Able to work with minimum supervision, handle ambiguity and drive problem solving to resolution autonomously.

Experience with using as well as administering revision control, issue management/defect tracking, continuous integration and continuous delivery tools is a strong bonus.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $106,800- $178,000

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
