BCD Meetings & Events: Meetings & Events Team Lead


We are looking for an Cupertino or Austin based outgoing Team Lead to join our dynamic team and work alongside our client, Apple! In this client facing role, you will act as the direct manager of a team of event planning professionals. You will collaborate with direct reports, colleagues and clients to ensure our account team is exceeding expectations in operational excellence. This is a very high touch role which demands precision whilst be comfortable with ambiguity. You'll be the leader every person hopes to have by mentoring and supporting your team, and the leader every client wants to work with. Sound like you? Read on!

As a Team Lead, you will:
* Be a first-class leader or people who is able to coach, develop and build a team.
* Work closely with account leadership to design and develop strategic initiatives.
* Ensure first class delivery of our service as well as bringing opportunities to further develop it.
* Upholding and implementing client policy.
* Ensure all data and reporting for programs is accurate and timely.
* Be a champion for our customers and their experience throughout the event journey.
* Monitor trends and patterns in business performance to identify problem areas and take immediate corrective action and / or make suggestions for continuous improvements.
* Support leadership team in successful delivery of all service level agreement components.
* Jump in and take on front line Meeting Planning responsibilities when required.

You're good at:
* Leading a team, including virtual people management.
* Building relationships and collaboration at all levels, with people from different backgrounds.
* Seeing around corners and being prepared for every eventuality.
* Communicating at all levels and are a creative problem solver.
* Working in a high touch, fast paced/short lead time environment.
* Interpreting data and providing recommendations for service improvement.
* Collaborating on work tasks.


You might also have:
* Experience of Apple suite of applications and products
* Knowledge of Cvent and/or Evedpay
* 3 + years as a Senior Meeting Planner and 2+ years as a Team Leader/Supervisor
* A degree in Hospitality or related program

You should know:
* This is an office-based role in Cupertino, CA or Austin, TX. In office 3 days a week.
* This role will require travel 10 - 15% of the time

We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Team Lead is between $70,000 - $100,000 The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, geographical location, and project budget.
