Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Drive growth to achieve sales targets for ERICO & ILSCO Utility solutions by successfully developing new business, primarily from specifications and new product sales across WA, ID, OR, CA, AZ, NM, TX, OK, CO, WY, NV, UT, AK.

  • Actively work with sales agents, aligning growth goals with territory strategy

  • Build relationships across all levels of key end-user utility customers in Transmission & Distribution, and applicable generation, at IOU's, co-op's, and municipalities

  • Provide expertise in the use and application of products and training of customers

  • Deliver and refine technical presentations and lead technical discussions highlighting our benefits and value propositions

  • Develop sales growth strategies and tactical plans to achieve regional sales targets

  • Actively communicate competitive feedback and market dynamics internally to help further improve the solution set and refine the message

  • Collaborate with your internal Channel/Sales partners, colleagues, and manager.

  • Use Salesforce as a tool to lead opportunity pipelines and communicate feedback internally

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, or applicable experience in technical sales

  • Ideally, 5+ years of electrical outside sales and/or territory management experience in the utility space preferred

  • Experience working with end-user customers on specifications

  • Experience working closely with manufacturing sales agents/reps preferred

  • Experience with a customer relationship management system, preferably salesforce.com

  • A current and valid driver's license required

  • Ability to work from a remote office in the sales region, and travel 60% of the time in the sales region, on average

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of total target cash pay for this job and the employee's work location. Total target cash is comprised of an employee's base salary and sales incentive target opportunity, when annual sales goals are achieved.

Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

If annual sales performance exceeds annual sales goals, the total target cash received may exceed the pay scale maximum reflected below.

Total Target Cash Range:

Geographic Region A: $101,400.00 - $188,300.00 +Geographic Region B: $110,600.00 - $205,400.00 +Geographic Region C: $96,300.00 - $178,800.00 +
