Summary:

In this role, you will work with a group of Vizient health systems to develop and manage sourcing programs that align with business strategies and objectives, driving significant cost savings. You will deliver best-in-class contracting strategies and performance improvement through independent leadership, resulting in supply chain cost reductions. Additionally, you will manage operations and quality assurance of sourcing programs, promoting program optimization, and serving as a trusted advisor and subject matter specialist to group providers.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage program's overarching structure, processes, and procedures to accomplish objectives.

  • Develop and manage individual work efforts in assigned portfolio and contract workplan and track program success metrics and deliverables and monitor program goal achievement.

  • Participate and provide training to internal and external stakeholders on program components.

  • Combine market intelligence from multiple sources to generate strategic insights that provide recommended workplan activity, drive informed decision making, and exhibit deep understanding of trends in healthcare for assigned portfolio workplan.

  • Work independently to manage a portfolio of multi-disciplinary contracts; use advanced negotiation skills to manage complex contract terms and conditions; drive portfolio strategy in obtaining provider input from provider committees and/or task forces.

  • Lead and support the bid process, generate Request for Proposals (RFP's), negotiate contracts, drive contract utilization, and onboard providers into key programs.

  • Identify provider and supplier targets for new business via outreach; research and identify opportunities for new value propositions and new capabilities.

  • Conduct and interpret financial analysis, market trends, and consult with subject matter experts to develop contract strategy, facilitate member recommendations and input received into contracting initiatives

  • Adhere to project expectations, timelines, updates, and potential risks to team members and stakeholders, which may include leadership, while providing appropriate resolution and recommendations.

  • Conduct meetings and communicate savings initiatives, contracting updates, savings opportunities, next steps, successes, and challenges to Vizient leadership and key customer stakeholders.

  • Develop, maintain, and mentor others to create strong relationships with suppliers, and internal and external customers across all product and service lines.

  • Support the engagement of councils and panels to gather provider feedback, contracting decisions, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.

  • 2 or more years of relevant experience required.

  • Experience in contracting complex clinical categories preferred.

  • Experience within healthcare, logistics, consulting, or supply chain preferred.

  • Documented lean or project management experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience in direct contract negotiations with proven track record of successfully closing large scale negotiations preferred.

  • Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:

$77,400.00 - $115,050.00
