Position Overview:

As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the sales process with a major semiconductor capital equipment OEM, utilizing consultative selling techniques to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of the semiconductor industry, particularly within the capital equipment sector, as well as the ability to navigate complex sales cycles and foster strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and meet targets.
  • Collaborate on sales and account strategy with other members of the sales and marketing teams.
  • Understand the voice of the customer and advocate for the customer's needs, effectively communicating back to the organization.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the customer, understanding their technical roadmap and applications to provide value-added solutions.
  • Manage the sales process, from prospecting to closing, with a focus on building long-term relationships.
  • Meet assigned annual customer revenue targets, setting clear objectives and actionable plans to achieve revenue goals.
  • Conduct thorough customer and market research to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of technology and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product management, to deliver customized solutions.
  • Negotiate technical, and commercial aspects of purchases (including performance specifications, hardware configurations, pricing and commercial terms and conditions)

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Advanced understanding of the semiconductor capital equipment industry, and associated technologies, and working knowledge of the broader semiconductor manufacturing industry.
  • Proven track record of success in technical sales, preferably within the semiconductor capital equipment industry.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate them effectively to customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage long and complex sales cycles, from initial contact to contract closure.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed to meet with customer.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
  • Self-starting and highly organized with excellent time management skills to prioritize competing demands effectively.
  • A very strong sense of urgency, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to establish rapport at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong commitment to the enabling the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
