Senior Director, Product Marketing

What You Will Be Doing

We are seeking a proven Senior Product Marketing Manager to join our growing Marketing team. The ideal candidate enjoys the technical side of product marketing in electric power or alternative energy markets, possess excellent communication and prioritization skills and thrives in a fast paced, early market environment.

You will be the product marketing owner and subject matter expert globally for our DC hardware portfolio, along with other project as deemed by your manager, and will be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end. In this role, you will be responsible for determining target audiences, positioning, messaging, sales enablement materials and go to market strategies.

If you are an enthusiastic communicator who can bring best practice marketing techniques to ChargePoint, this is the role for you. You must be able to generate high-impact ideas, clearly prioritize workloads, manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to completion. To succeed in this role, you will be required to develop strong working relationships and interactions with Product and Engineering, customers, partners, Business Development, Sales, along with your marketing colleagues within ChargePoint.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

  • Develop and execute marketing plans and strategies for products, customer segments, and global markets.
  • Create compelling and differentiated product positioning and messaging that drives business value.
  • Develop solution material that is audience-centric and vertically relevant.
  • Define the GTM strategy and execute the global product launch of new products and services. Ensure new product launches and initiatives are aligned to drive shared outcomes.
  • Develop and manage the creation of sales enablement tools including data sheets, one-pagers, pitch decks, FAQs, brochures, competitive positioning, and product training.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative customer research to better understand customer pain points and derive customer insights.
  • Working closely with product management, help to define market requirements for additional product capabilities and features.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree. MBA or Technical degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years of B2B technology product marketing experience.
  • Ability to craft compelling technical marketing content, storytelling, value proposition definition, messaging and positioning in the B2B hardware or software industry. Skilled in translating complex products into simple solutions for consumers.
  • Excellent communication written, verbal and presentation skills to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Understanding of buyer's journey stages, persona development and audience segmentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex product launches with favorable, timely deliverables.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize to achieve optimal results.
  • Deep empathy and appreciation for user needs.
  • Passion for emerging markets, the EV space and associated trends.
  • Strong bias for action and results, highly organized and ability to execute through obstacles, complete tasks and projects with little guidance and tight deadlines.
  • Strong relationship building and collaboration skills; ability to influence others and drive decisions.

Full time position in Campbell, CA or Remote
