Buyer II

Buyer II - O'Hara, PA

PURPOSE

This experienced buyer position is responsible for the coordination of schedules to meet customer requirements. This position is only assigned to a site procurement organization.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize SAP to release Purchase Orders for all production and service raw materials;
  • Identify and communicate system issues related to master data;
  • Request expedites and de-expedites with suppliers for material shortages or overstocks
  • Manage system alerts for material stocking level issues
  • Interact internally with Materials Management team to communicate issues and concerns related to role
  • Review and disposition materials requested by internal customers
  • Maintain SAP procurement parameters for assigned area of responsibility
  • Prepare and issue reports related to supply activities and supplier delivery performance.

REQUIRED QUALIFIACATIONS

  • High School /GED graduate;
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in materials, manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain;
  • Demonstrated presentation, training, and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to influence other members of the organization to help achieve goals and increase performance;
  • Ability to build relationships and partnerships within the organization;
  • Ability to work on projects of low complexity with direction;
  • Demonstrated problem solving abilities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree
