| Duties: |
Provide technical analyses in the areas of 3D processing, image rendering and texture modeling. This will include modeling of space surveillance and electro-optical remote sensing satellite systems as well as data collected from aircraft. The candidate will be required to apply three dimensional mathematical principles in the evaluation, development, and selection of image and signal processing techniques for the purpose of target detection and rendering using SAR, LIDAR, and EO stereographic modeling. Responsibilities will include direct support to program offices with analyses and evaluation of contractor designs, including interaction with Air Force and contractor personnel as required. |
| Qualifications: |
A degree in mathematics, physics, engineering or related field is required. Minimum of five years of applicable experience in image processing, 3D computer modeling, algorithm development and statistical data analysis required. Candidate must be familiar with three dimensional visualization and rendering techniques such as using voxels, meshes and TIN's to create iso-surfaces which follow the contours of given threshold values . Candidate must have familiarization in image georegistration techniques and principles of photogrammetric applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required. Experience with both PC and UNIX operating systems, and programming experience in IDL and Matlab is preferred, Java, FORTRAN or C is a bonus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Must have or ability to obtain SSBI clearances. |
